Maize is popular kharif fodder crop which which is much used fodder in livestock and poultry. It can be harvested after 60-65 day's and can be grown almost all regions of Pakistan.

Pest & Disease management:
Stem borer;
Drop the Furadon powder into the shoots or broadcast it at tge rate if 8 kg/acre followed by irrigation. Repeat this practice twice after 1-2 week's intervals.
Leaf blight;
Use disease resistant varieties.
Fungicide like mancozeb, propiconazole and zineb can be applied to protect ghe maize crop from leaf blight.
Stalk rot;
Stalk rot can be control by tge cultural practice's that refuce plant stress.
Harvesting:
When the husk is dried and the black layer appeared on the tip of grains then the crop can be harvested.
